The long version.
I've been working in technology since 2002. Grew up in Round Rock, earned my Associates in Applied Science in Computer and Information Sciences from Virginia College, and continued studying at ACC and UT Austin. Along the way I picked up my CompTIA A+, Network+, VMware certification, Microsoft Exchange certification, MCSE, and hands-on experience with Azure, SQL Server, Power BI, and more.
My first real venture was a company called Visceral Integration, where we specialized in getting nonprofits online for the first time. Our biggest project was the ACC Continuing Education website — a full build for one of the largest community college systems in Texas. I've been building websites since 2003 and never really stopped.
But the web design work was just one side of things. I spent years doing IT consulting — working at a firm in downtown Austin called Simpler Webb, where I provided remote support and infrastructure services for credit unions across the country. I also did hands-on IT work for small businesses like Knight Financial and Capital Excavation — setting up their networks, configuring their computers, getting their office software working right. I've set up shared TurboTax environments, configured iPads and mobile carts in doctors' offices, deployed ERP systems, and built Power BI dashboards for executive teams.
For the past 8+ years, I've been working full-time in enterprise IT management — leading teams, managing VMware and Exchange infrastructure, building data pipelines, and keeping large-scale operations running. That's my day job, and it means I bring a level of experience to small business IT that most freelancers can't offer.
Jollybop is where both sides come together.
